These terms apply to Nazoru (“the app”), published by GLSPACE Co., Ltd. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
Nazoru is a study aid for reading Japanese. It shows readings, pitch accent, meanings and grammar, and keeps words you save together with the sentence you met them in.
A 7-day trial opens everything. It begins when you tap it, not when you install the app, and there is nothing to cancel: it simply ends. The record of when it started is kept on your device and in your iCloud key-value storage, so that reinstalling or changing device does not start it again.
N5 and N4 explanations are available without paying, during the trial and after it. A single purchase, processed by Apple, opens the N3 explanations. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: there is nothing that renews and nothing to cancel. The price shown in the App Store applies and varies by region.
The purchase is tied to your Apple Account. On a new device, use “Restore purchase”.
Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. We cannot issue a refund ourselves. Apple’s page is reportaproblem.apple.com.
The words and sentences you save stay on your device and belong to you. We have no access to them.
Readings and pitch accent come from the Open JTalk dictionary, used under the modified BSD licence; the full licence text is inside the app, under Settings → Where the data comes from. JLPT levels were compiled by Jonathan Waller and are used under CC BY, with changes. The meanings, example texts and grammar were written for this app.
Please do not attempt to extract the bundled dictionary for redistribution, or to circumvent the purchase. Ordinary study use, including quoting what you learn, is fine.
The app may change between versions, and features may be added or removed. We do not promise that any particular version will remain available or that any specific feature will continue to exist.
The app is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, GLSPACE Co., Ltd. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
